Intensive academic skills programme! Please grab the chance to build up your essay/ exam skills ready for next year or improve your performance if you’re doing/ re-doing exams or essays over the summer.

“Preparation 4 Assessment”: 15th – 26th June (Chester and Warrington)

Learning Support Services are running this two week programme on both campuses. It is for absolutely anyone know matter what level of ability you are at with your work (even if your essay skills are fantastic, there is usually always something you can still improve!)
The programme includes one-to-one tutorials and daily drop-in sessions, as well as seminars on the following topics:-
– Revision and Exam Techniques;
– Essay Planning and Structuring;
– Academic Writing Style;
– APA Referencing;
– Reading Strategies;
– Note-making;
– Critical Thinking and Developing Arguments;
– Concept Mapping;
– Time Management;
– Basic Numeracy.

Students can book in for these seminars at the following places:
– Chester Campus: Seaborne Library main desk
– Warrington Campus: Broomhead Library main desk or the Learning
Support drop-in room (Top floor, Broomhead Library)
